Zoning

Overview
Zoning regulates land uses within the city. The full zoning code is Chapter 16 of the Dacono Municipal Code. The city zoning map assigns zoning district which describes the regulations under which land may be used. The Zoning Code identifies allowable uses and sets standards such as minimum lot size, maximum building height, and minimum front yard depth. The city also has an adopted set of Uniform Design Baseline Standards and Non-residential Design Standards.

Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews all land use applications and makes a recommendation to the city council. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. All meetings are open to the public and agendas are published in advance.
