Winter Weather Conservation Tips
During the summer months, water conservation is top of mind. The Colorado State University Extension Office estimates that outdoor water use accounts for about 55 percent of residential water use in the Front Range urban area, most of which is used on turf. As we move into the fall and winter months, water conservation in and around the home remains important.
The largest water users inside the home are toilets, clothes washers, faucets, and showers. The installation of low-flow plumbing fixtures can save up to 30 percent of indoor water use.
Water Conservation Plan & Resources
The City of Dacono adopted a Water Conservation Plan in accordance with the Water Conservation Act of 2004 to meet the provisions of Colorado Revised Statute section 37-60-126.
