Carbon Valley Veterans Wall of honor

The Carbon Valley Veterans Wall of Honor is located at SH52 and Colorado Boulevard. This monument was constructed to honor Veterans throughout the Carbon Valley who have served during a time of conflict or non-conflict, and been honorably discharged.

Wall of Honor

The Wall of Honor recognizes Carbon Valley Veterans. Veterans, or their families, seeking to have a name placed on the Wall of Honor should obtain an application from the City of Dacono.

Veterans must have a connection to the Carbon Valley area, but current residency is not required. Possible connections are resident of Dacono, Firestone or Frederick, former resident of Dacono, Firestone, or Frederick, lived in Carbon Valley area only. The Veteran’s name, branch of service, and dates of service will be on the wall.

Engraving 

No additional applications for the Wall of Honor are being accepted for 2023.  We are currently validating the authenticity of forms submitted for 2023. Unfortunately, we have received many applications that were not authorized by families, lack a connection to the Carbon Valley, or do not have the required documentation.

Please note that any calls from a third party about applications or status are not endorsed by the City of Dacono.  Please help us honor our Veterans and respect the purpose of the Wall of Honor. If you have questions, please contact the City of Dacono.

Release or Discharge Forms

In addition to the application, a copy of the DD-214 form, Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty, is required with the submittal to verify military service. All documentation will be verified. Go to National Archives for assistance obtaining documentation.

No Cost

There is no cost to have a Veteran’s name placed on the Wall of Honor. There will also be opportunities to help support the project through donor tiles on the seat walls.
